Enraged youth chanting pro-Alfred Mutua slogans stormed the venue at Kilome in which a planned Wiper party rally was to be held thus causing the abortion of the rally that was yet to start on Friday, September 2.
The rally was to be addressed by the 2016 Dignitary Man of Africa and Wiper Democratic Movement leader Kalonzo Musyoka but his convoy was forced to detour and continue with other scheduled rallies in other parts of Makueni County.
This comes in the wake of a new shift that shows Ukambani politics taking a different shape in all the three Ukambani counties and  specifically the Mutua vs Kalonzo political duel which is taking a vicious combative course.
The youth, who were carrying placards in support of Machakos Governor Dr Alfred Mutua’s Maendeleo Chap Chap Movement, removed the tents in the venue and carried the chairs away saying that it was time for change in the Ukambani region and Wiper was not the change they needed.
The youths further complained about the area Member of parliament Regina Ndambuki having been mistreated by some Wiper supporters during the party’s retreat at Maanzoni for supporting Dr Mutua.
