children with hearing aids. Just seeing the children’s reaction to sound, is something
I shall never forget. The wonder, the joy, their smiles, their voices! One
little boy moved me. Ever since he had joined the school he had never spoken a
word. One teacher also said that he was not only deaf, but coping with other challenges
too. Still Owen, the team leader, reminded us all that God works miracles and
the little boy was not going to miss out on hearing aids.”

EALA Okays Kiswahili As Official EAC Language

The East African Legislative Assembly (Eala) has passed a resolution to make Kiswahili an official language of the East African Community alongside English.

According to reports, there was a heated debate during a special session held on Thursday evening during which the decision was made to elevate the Kiswahili to be among the official EAC Languages.

“It is our conviction that the Heads of State of EAC will endorse this motion to enable amendment of the EAC Treaty which has only English as the official language,” said Ms Bhanj one of the three legislators chairing the meeting.

Th issue will now be brought to an Extra-ordinary Summit of the regional leaders slated for Dar es Salaam early next month

But getting Diamond to perform outside the boundaries of Tanzania, you have to be prepared to part with $ 40,000 (Kes 4 million.)

Contrary to Diamond’s standard charge of $ 40,000 (Kes 4 million.), the Tanzanian singer had to charge an extra one million shillings because the gig was far away in Meru.
Ghafla! contacted one of the directors at Watanashati Classics (wanted to remain anonymous) who confided in us that they spent Kes 5 million to bring Diamond to Meru.
In an interview with E!TV, Diamond revealed he was worth a whopping $ 4 million (Kes 405 million). With the amount he charges to perform and all those brand endorsements, surely Diamond is worth more than 405 million shillings.

Unfortunately, the two broke up shortly amid sleazy claims after a very public relationship which we were all privy to thanks to Adelle’s countless social media posts. President Uhuru Kenyatta and his wife, Margaret Kenyatta, were caught on camera as they engaged in public display of affection during the just concluded 6th Tokyo International Conference on African Development (TICAD).


In March 2015, Uhuru publicly showed his romantic side for the very first time after giving the First Lady a warm hug upon completing the 21Km First Lady’s Marathon.
Earlier this year, Uhuru left tongues wagging again after planting a kiss on his wife’s cheeks during the opening of the English Point Marina.
The new photos show the President romantically feeding the First Lady as other leaders including Japanese Prime Minister Akie Abe and his wife look on.
A video that has gone viral on social media shows Uhuru walking to the table in the company of his wife, the Prime Minister and delegates who attended the conference.
He then grabs some chopsticks and starts savouring a meal that had earlier been placed on the table.
Upon noticing that his wife was just standing around the table and not eating, Uhuru asked her if she wants to taste what he is having before offering some of the food.

Ni KANA KWAMBA KIFO HAKINA HURUMA! Akothee Suffers Miscarriage , Loses Her Twins

Reports reaching our desk indicate that Akothee has suffered a miscarriage and lost her twins. The misfortune occurred in Geneva Switzerland where she and her family had gone on holiday.
She is reported to have collapsed on a train platform and her husband was contacted. When he arrived he took charge of the situation and handled the children as she was rushed to hospital.

One of the twins was pronounced dead on arrival as doctors couldn’t trace the child’s heartbeat. Attention then turned towards saving the second child who tragically also passed on.

She is in hospital in Geneva where doctors are rushing to save her life.

AIBU NAYO! Two Women Stripped Naked And Beaten For Stealing (PHOTO)

There was drama in Embu town on Monday evening after two women were roughed up and stripped naked for stealing.

This was after the two who have now been identified as Wincate Wangui and Faith Mukami were suspected of stealing Sh17,000 from a local businessman.
Apparently, the two women move around town pretending that they are selling SIM cards while what they are really doing is looking for naive people to prey on.
Their fraudulent ways of earning a living was finally exposed after a man they had conned bumped into them in town. It was then than he confronted them asking about his money.
Various reports say the two had tricked the man into giving them money after telling him that they wanted to demonstrate something.
A crowd that had gathered to see what was happening later joined in and started beating up the women.
They were however lucky as the police arrived on time to save them from the mob that wanted to lynch them.
Officers who arrived at the scene urged locals to stop taking matters into their own hand, but instead report to the police.
They were later taken to Embu Police Station. A third suspect who is believed to be their accomplice is still at large.

Why “Skiptrace” Is Top In China: It’s Not Just About Jackie Chan!

Have you heard of the new movie “Skiptrace”? It’s an exciting new flick that has made the most amount of money for Jackie Chan in his entire 50 year acting career. Yes, you heard me right.
In China, “Skiptrace” has currently earned a whooping $62.2Million (Sh 6.30 billion) and it knocked out all the competition, including Warner Bros’ The Legend of Tarzan.
The action comedy “Skiptrace” co-stars Johnnie Knoxville as a fast-talking American gambler. Chan, playing a Hong Kong detective, is forced to team up with Knoxville’s character after his niece, (played by Fan Bingbing) runs into trouble with a notorious criminal mastermind.
“Skiptrace” is the kind of movie that gives you your money’s worth. Most of “Skiptrace” is an ‘on-the-road’ comedy where Chan drags Knoxville towards Hong Kong. En route, they pass eastern Russia, the Mongolian steppes, the Gobi Desert and more …by train, car, horse, foot, and inflated-pigskin raft—finding some sort of cultural festival or other spectacle wherever they go.

So, what’s really special about this movie? For starters, it was made on a production budget of $30 million. In addition, the film is a Chinese-HK-US production, and the characters speak both Chinese and English (yes, even Johnny Knoxville) making it easy for the Chinese to relate.
Also, the end credits sport a dedication to Chan Kwok-hung, a cinematographer and longtime Chan collaborator who died in a drowning accident during the film’s production.
Reports from the Chinese press say that “Skiptrace” could be the only Chinese-language film that could gross 1 billion RMB (which translates to $153M). That’s a first!
So it’s not only about Jackie Chan. “Skiptrace” is a worthwhile movie with undertones …and yes, it’s hilarious!

MTANYOOKA! Diamond Plantnumz Wife Viciously Attacks Huddah Monroe In Snapchat Rant

The Chibus drama continues! Not so long ago, Diamond Platnumz and his wife were involved in a family drama; it all started by the Utanipenda hit singer forcing his wife to abort his unborn child; her second pregnancy but she refused. A few weeks later Zari threatened to terminate Diamond’s baby after rumour went viral that he was dating one of his video vixens; Irene Hillary ‘Lynn’, who signed a deal with Diamond’s Wasafi Classic Baby (WCB) Records earlier this year.

Zari was also involved in a fight with Kenyan socialite Huddah Monroe, her once upon-a-time close friend on Snapchat. This was after Vera Sidika was invited to Princess Tiffah’s birthday and she wasn’t. Huddah who seemed to have issues with Zari started to throw shades at her claiming that Diamond is a public property for every lady out there.

Zari is said to be a jealous woman and by threatening to get rid of her pregnancy, she knows very well that Diamond will immediately cut off the relationship with Lynn, Hamisa Mobeto, Huddah or any other women (in case there are more…).
Well, yesterday, Zari took to Snapchat to viciously attack the ladies who have allegedly bedded Diamond in cryptic messages and sources have it that they were meant for Huddah and Hamisa Mobeto among other women.

Woiii Mungu Muonekanie! Latest Update On Akothee’s Health

Oh No! Please pray for Akothee. The Shengerea Mama singer has lost her twin pregnancy. Akothee who collapsed earlier today at a train station in Geneva, Switzerland and was rushed to hospital where she underwent surgery is out of danger but none of her unborn babies survived.

According to her manager, Akothee was headed to Basel but she did not make it and she is safe and sound but still in hospital undergoing treatment.

“Unfortunately the babies did not make it. She has just come out of the theatre. Her condition is stable. We are now waiting for her to recover from anesthesia,”

Akothee’s manager told Edaily. He later took to social media to urge fans to pray for the versatile singer and here is what he wrote;

“Although, no words can ease your pain, yet, I just want to tell you that you are in my prayers everyday. Remember that God is there for us, especially when we are going through the worse in our life.
Keep smiling.”

Saumu Mbuvi and her boyfriend Benson Gatu are the talk of the town once again, thanks to their flamboyant lifestyles.

The two lovers caused quite a stir in Murang’a this past weekend after arriving in a chopper for Kigumo MP Jamleck Kamau’s thanksgiving ceremony held at Kigumo High School.
Shortly after they arrived, the meeting was disrupted with area residents struggling to catch a glimpse of the prominent couple who had just landed.
Actually, some of them thought that it was Murang’a governor Mwangi wa Iria who had earlier threatened to disrupt the event.
Gatu who is said to be eyeing the Mathioya parliamentary seat in the next General Elections, met Saumu Mbuvi at JKUAT Karen Campus where they both schooled.
When she was graduating, her 25-year-old boyfriend gave her a gift that left many stunned.
After being called upon to say a word, Gatu walked to the podium and whipped out some dollars believed to be amounting to Sh250,000 after apologizing for not coming with a present.
Gatu reportedly walks around with a briefcase full of money and is generous just like his father-in-law.
Sources say that Nairobi Senator Mike Sonko is helping the lawyer-cum-business man with his plans to unseat current area MP Clement Wambugu. He also has the Senator’s backing to marry Saumu.
