A 21 year old Kenyan man was on Thursday night stabbed to death while seated in a car on the passenger seat in Dinkytown, Minnesota USA.
Police have identified Sean Maina who died of multiple sharp force injuries, according to the Hennepin County Medical Examiner’s Office and the death was listed as a homicide.
The killer, Brandon Kenneth Bockoven has been charged with second degree murder in connection with the death of Maina.
According to two other female passengers in the car that they were all in, the two, Maina and Brandon were arguing over money the victim owed to Bockoven for some auto parts before the stabbing occurred, the complaint said.
Following the death of Sean Maina, the family released the statement below.
”Sean Maina is my little brother that passed on the 25th of August 2016. He was only 21 years old but was full of life. He unfortunately passed on after a fatal incident between him and his friend that led him to the hospital where he was pronounced dead shortly after.
My family and I are in shock and in disbelief we lost him but we are receiving tremendous support from everyone. We appreciate all that and more. We would like to raise funds for his funeral and burial arrangements and every little thing will go a long way so if you can even help by sharing his go fund me, that will also help. Thank you in advance and if you have any questions please don’t hesitate to ask.
As a family this has been really hard for us but God loved him more and we know he is in a better place. I thank you all in advance and may God bless you all.”
